I love my father as the stars - he's a bright shining example and a happy twinkling in my heart! My dad is the most positive and happy man I know. He always sees the good in any situation no matter how difficult it is! He has a smile that is contagious and lights up a room. He has a great energy and a joie de vivre!
In 2010 he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. It was a shock to our entire family. We could not help feel anxious and uncertain about the future but his attitude and energy gave us hope and so did the doctors. For 1 long year we took turns with doctor's appointments and chemotherapy treatments. We kept him company the entire time! My mother, my sisters and I never left his side.He always smiled and made friends with the nurses. The nurses said he was their best patient and that it was a joy to take care of him. My mother was there every step of the way! Luckily his diagnosis was treatable. What great news! My family and I were so glad to hear that there was a treatment plan for him. My father believes and so do we that he survived because of his ATTITUDE. He never wined and complained only said Let's beat this thing! This motivation kept us going as well!
His motto: Virtually nothing is impossible in this world, if you just put your mind to it and maintain a positive attitude. I aspire to see life the way he does and to smile and be positive my entire life!
Happy Father's day!
