4 years ago my father passed away from Leukemia. 2 years ago I met Chantal Desjardins who put me in contact with the LLS. I participated in the first walk and my band played at the VIP cocktail. I was touched by all the people that I had met and their stories. The first year I was pleased to help raise 5k for the cause and help rid blood diseases forever. Later that year I was honored to be asked to be on the LLS Montreal committee and I created the Rock the Light event that raised over 15k in 2018. I am happy to be part of an incredible association and be part of the team. Also 6 years back a friend of mine passed from CLL as well and I do this in his memory as well as the greatest man. My Dad.
My most memorable experience was being on stage at the 2018 walk and seeing the wall of walkers and support of over 1.2 million dollars
Save a life and be part of something that you will never need to get thanked for. My Dad was my hero and honoring him and my friend is all the thanks I need. Come out and feel the live and warmth that you can do for a disease that can be combated.
