We’re all about the team! Safe Software started supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) when co-founder Dale Lutz’s son, Jay Lutz, was diagnosed with leukemia in September of 2015.
A number of passionate employees created the team “Jay Walkers” and fundraised for the Light The Night Walk. Since 2015 they have raised more than $25,000 for blood cancer research and patient support services.
“Having such a big community rallying behind me, most of whom I only barely know, was inspiring and brought me hope,” says Jay Lutz.
We hope to create a supportive community for those affected, like our friend Jay. We’ve also begun fundraising to support the journey for newly diagnosed patients of the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant (L/BMT) Program at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH).
In our day-to-day work, we see the difference coming together as a community can make. We are thrilled to be a sponsor at this year’s Light The Night Walk and hope that our community will join us.
