A friend was involved with Team In Training and she kept asking me to join. My boss got involved and he registered a work team. I didn't really engage, however, during that race, a coach checked in on me and I thought that was so special! I decided then and there that I had to do this for real. I love the community that has been built. I have been back ever since, and i am not afraid of the fundraising anymore!
I’ve done 3 TNT events and I am now coaching the Bluenose season- and that has been so fun and rewarding. I love running with my teammates and supporting them through their training.
I know I used to be a negative runner and now I love helping other see the joy in running. I always said I was a bit of an introvert and love to spend time by myself. But I can’t wait to run with people again.
I have met some really amazing people. The stories that are told and the impact we are making. My little donations add with others little donation add up to BIG donations and we are making a difference
IT is a gray time but there is always something that gives you hope and bring hope into somebody’s life.
