To me hope is what keeps you going day after day. Every day is different, every day presents us with new challenges and new solutions. Human kind will always find a way to keep going!

Team in Training is special to me because of all the people and their individual passions. They give you a different perspective. Whether a survivor or someone in their family. very unique and that drives and motivates me. Put things in a very different perspective . It awakes something  in you didn’t know was there.

I joined Team in training mainly because of work. My work as a medical lab technician makes me really aware of blood cancers and how it affects and impacts people. (patients, nurses, doctors). Work used to cut a cheque but things changed and we now want to support a charity that is important to us.  When I took over the fundraising roll – I really enjoyed it! My excitement rubbed off to the staff and everyone got more involved. It because much more rewarding.

I am most looking forward to normalcy! I see tension, nervousness in a lot of people and would like to see that change. See people relax a bit. But it will be a new normal.
