I've participated in Light the Night Calgary (12 years and counting), Team in Training Half Marathons in New Orleans, Disney World, Toronto (15k) and Hike in Zion , and 100mile Bike in Lake Tahoe (upcoming).
What motivates me to be part of the LLSC is Having seen first hand how a patient like my husband can have hope and a future thanks to drugs that are being developed thanks to fundraising dollars raised.
My most memorable experience was representing Calgary at Team in Training events makes me both proud and humbled. There are incredible people out there raising awe striking sums, and they inspire me to keep finding new ways to do what I can for LLSC.
To anyone who wishes to get involved with the LLSC, your efforts reach farther than you can imagine, helping people with so many different types of cancer to have hope, and for good reason. Blood Cancer research is paving the way for all cancer research!
