Graft versus cancer effect

With an allogeneic stem cell transplant, the donated stem cells make immune cells that are not totally "matched" with the patient's cells. For this reason, the donor immune cells may recognize the patient's cancer cells as foreign and kills them.

Tom Strong Hockey Game 2017

The SMU Huskies will host the DAL Tigers on Feb 11th for Tom Strong Night in appreciation and support for former SMU Assistant Coach Tom Lee. Over the last 3 years Tom Strong night saw more than 4,000 people pack into the Halifax Forum to raise over $30,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
