In 2008, I received a diagnostic which changed my life and the one of all the people around me: a follicular non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This form of lymphoma is, and remains up to now, incurable.
After fighting for over 6 years and lots of chemotherapy (over 93 treatments), an autontransplant in 2012 and several research study protocols, the most recent in 2013, an incredible opportunity was given to me: a stem cell transplant from an umbilical cord. The transplant took place on...
In February 2015, I made a decision to quit smoking cigarettes after smoking for 18 years. When I quit smoking I took up running. I was able to do my first 10km run in September of 2015 running for about 2km and walking the rest of the 8 km. That was when I decided to register for my first full Marathon (42.2km) at the Calgary Marathon in May 2016. Well call me crazy, but you won't be far from describing my true personality! So I did this marathon at a time of 5hr 47 minutes and I was proud of myself. So I registered for the Okanagan Marathon in October 2016 the same year and completed this marathon at 4hrs 47minutes.

I joined Team In Training (TNT) with my wife Melissa in September 2016, and we’re currently training and fundraising for the IRONMAN 70.3 in Mont-Tremblant. I had already completed a number of IRONMAN events and this was a great opportunity for Melissa to get back into the sport. More importantly, we have a personal connection to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. Sadly, in June 2016, we lost Melissa’s father, Paul White, to leukemia.
Since joining TNT, we’ve set an ambiti....

I was 23 at the time and had absolutely no idea what it meant. I remember asking my friends, family, "what is cancer" and no one could tell me what it was. I did try to research by reading books, going to multiple doctors for endless number of opinions and all i wanted to hear then was " It can be cured ". It was difficult not knowing what to pre....
