Population served: Patients, families and their caregivers
Our Mission is to ensure people living with cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
Our inclusive program of support, education and social interaction for the “whole family”- adults, children and teens as well as their family and friends is offered in a home-like setting and provided FREE of charge to members. Gilda’s members are given the tools and information they need to help them create their own support plan. By being part of the Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto community, members are able to draw strength and the collective wisdom of people sharing similar life experiences.

Population served: Cancer patients
We are an independent community organization committed to empowering those whose lives are impacted by cancer to improve their emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
We know a cancer diagnosis can be a devastating experience; the emotional strain can be as shattering as the physical disease itself. HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre exists to offer you information, emotional support, and the tools needed for empowerment, personal growth and self-help.
Population served: Lymphoma patients, their families and friends.
The Lymphoma Support Group of Ottawa (LSGO) has provided lymphoma patients, families and friends in the Ottawa region with support, information, education and networking since October 2000.
A support group is part of a continuum of care. Everyone in the support group has coped with the devastation of diagnosis and is seeking to move on to becoming more involved in living life to its fullest. Doing something for yourself in addition to undergoing treatment can bring positive changes. Most cancer patients find enormous benefits from becoming more informed about their particular cancer, its diagnosis and treatments. Becoming engaged as an active member in your own health care team restores some sense of control and well-being.
