Paul White was a Canadian Golf Course Superintendent for 45 years, Past President of the Ontario Golf Superintendents Association, Canadian Golf Superintendents Association and a long-standing member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He retired after 13 years at The Briars Golf Club, Sutton, Ontario in 2011. His career as a superintendent also included work at Kanawake, Lambton, Glen Abby and Mississauga Golf Clubs. He held the highest designation of Master Superintendent and was honoured as the CGSA Superintendent of the Year in 2003.
Sadly, Paul passed after a difficult and courageous battle with Leukemia June 23rd, 2016.
In celebration of Paul’s long dedication to the golf industry, we are hosting, and you are invited to the Paul White Memorial Golf Tournament being held at The Briars Golf Club, (127 Hedge Rd., Sutton West, Ontario), on May 28th, 2017 in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
Paul’s daughter Melissa and son-in-law Keith Ramon are triathletes who have already raised and donated $30,000 to the LLSC in Paul’s memory. Paul’s family is hosting this day of celebration and hope to raise even more money for the LLSC within the golf community which Paul loved along with his family and friends.
All information requests regarding this tournament should be sent to Jan Stainer-White. We need your help to make this event a success and raise as much money as possible for the LLSC in remembrance of Paul! You can download the registration form here.
