With support, many children and teens continue their schooling in some way after a cancer diagnosis despite the challenges presented by the disease, its treatment, and the social and emotional impact of the illness. However, for some children and teens, emotional and cognitive challenges continue or become evident after treatment ends. How do we recognize these challenges and help ensure these children and teens receive the support they need?
This training will be useful for those who support children and teens during and after the cancer experience including parents, relatives, teachers, school support staff and nurses.
